Privacy policy

Information you send us

The contact form asks for your name, organization, email address, and message. We use these details only to understand your inquiry, reply to you, and keep a record of the conversation. Please do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information in your message.

How contact submissions are handled

When you press Send, the four fields are sent over an encrypted connection to a Google Apps Script web app that we manage. The script saves each submission to a private Google Sheet and can notify us by email. Access is limited to the Tipsaw team members who handle inquiries. Google processes this information on our behalf to run those services.

Booking a call

The Book a call button opens our Calendly scheduling page in a new tab. Any details you enter there, such as your name, email address, and chosen time, are collected by Calendly under its own privacy policy and shared with us so we can hold the meeting.

Analytics

Tipsaw uses PostHog, an analytics service, to understand which pages are useful and where the site can be improved. PostHog automatically records events such as:

• pages viewed and when you leave a page
• clicks on links and buttons, and when a form is submitted
• the page address and the site that referred you
• browser, operating system, device type, and screen size
• approximate location derived from your IP address
• a random identifier for your browser and visit

The text you type into form fields is not sent to PostHog, and we do not link analytics to your name or email address. We do not use session recordings, heatmaps, or advertising features.

Cookies and browser storage

PostHog stores a random identifier in a first-party cookie and in your browser's local storage so repeat visits can be counted without identifying you. The cookie lasts up to 365 days. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time; the website will keep working.

Hosting and security

The website is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical details such as IP address, requested page, and browser information to serve the site and protect it from abuse. All pages and form submissions use HTTPS. Fonts are hosted on our own site, so loading a page does not contact a font provider. Links to studies and other websites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers above, Google, PostHog, Calendly, and Cloudflare, so they can provide their services to us, or when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Retention

We keep contact submissions and related emails only as long as we need them to respond, follow up on the conversation, and keep reasonable business records. After that, we delete them from the Google Sheet and our inbox. Analytics events are kept according to our PostHog data retention settings and are not linked to your contact details.

Your choices and requests

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send a message through our contact form with “Privacy request” in the message and the email address you used before, so we can find the right records. We will confirm once your request has been handled. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the website collects or uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
